I was trained to tattoo by Jack Zeek in 1975 in Hayes, Middlesex
and turned my hobby into a full-time job after leaving the building trade as a roof tiler and am now well established, working in Soham, Cambridgeshire.
I have found that it is better to work by an appointment system as I feel each customer then receives more individual attention.
My particular interest is to design each tattoo with the customer, as I feel it important to produce unique tattoos. As tattoos are permanent it's important for people to take the time in choosing the right tattoo for themselves to minimize the chance of regret later on.
I like people to
come into the studio to discuss the design that they want, bringing any designs with them or to look through the numerous magazines and books that I have in the studio.
This gives people the chance to see the style and quality of my work before they choose their own individual design.
I’ve had a lot of success with my
celtic, tribal and maori designs that have been reproduced from
books and drawings as well as complimenting the shape and
contours of the body. Almost any design is possible including
animal portraits and cover-up work. (I would have to see the existing tattoo
first to see if a cover-up is possible) and I can also produce
tattoos with a coloured outline, rather than black, to produce a more subtle effect.
The photographs
in the portfolio section are just a small selection of my work. I really enjoy tattooing and feel very fortunate that I have been able to turn my hobby into a job that I love.
